Happy January 18th!
I am sure there is someone or something fantastic happening on today somewhere in the world. I just happen to have a few spare minutes, so I thought I would update with some things going on in the bray household. Evan is now talking quite a bit, he says about 10 words and babbles the rest of the time. His new favorite thing is trains, so we landed a train set from the family I nannied for this past week. He LOVES it. We have also since the start of the New Year transistioned him off his water bottle to a sipper cup. He still drinks his milk from the bottles though, so that is on our radar soon. We have also over this past weekend taken him out of his tucker sling that he had slept in since about 6 months and have tried to get him to learn to fall asleep on his own. No bottle, no water, no DVD player...this kid has some stamina. He for about 4 days cried for about 45 mins at bedtime, but naptime, would sometimes not even nap or wake up refluxing after 30 mins and not go back to sleep. We thought that would help him go to sleep better at night, being he would be SO tired...not the case. Just today, on the fifth day is he finally starting to crack. He now will fall asleep if we rub his back as he lays on his belly. Yay...that is progress. Thanks Tim, for doing all that hard work...both Evan and Tim know I am a softy and can't let my little baby cry for that long without picking him up. We are glad that he is learning to sleep like a normal kid. He will still wake up a lot due to reflux, but hopefully that will start to get better by 18 months. Otherwise, we are doing great. I will try to post some more videos soon, I know it has been a while.
